ANIMAL BEHAVIOUR

During my childhood , I used to live in Ulhasnagar. It was a six storeyed building . I , with my family used to live on the second floor. One day , a dog entered our building and it climbed on the second floor where I stayed . As time went by , it visited our building each day and came and sat near my house . Sometimes , we used to provide her with biscuits , but it was a bit moody . It refused to eat the food stuff that we provided . After a long time , we all came to know that it was a SHE DOG and she had settled in our building . Now , it was time for her to give birth to her babies . So , after a long time , she gave birth to babies and nevertheless , she became too aggressive too . We noticed her behavior and sometimes felt very scared . We thought of leaving her to some other place . Finally , some of the members of my building took her to a remote area. But to our surprise , she returned the same building , the same floor again. We all were surprised , confused and scared . I observed one thing about her that she always used to sit on the second floor only , in the same position and in the same place every time. THIS SHOWED ME HER INTELLIGENCE AND MEMORY POWER AND PROVED THAT SOME SPECIES ALSO HAVE A REMARKABLE MEMORY.

RAIN

RAIN

Rain Rain
Let’s enjoy,
Go outside,
and play with a toy

Because of it
The crops grow,
From the soil
in which you sow

It is a thing
Which can be enjoyed,
don’t sit at home
and be annoyed

It is the purest
form of water,
It is fabulous
like a starter

It can cheat
Like a cheater,
But you will be happy
When you hear its pitter-patter

Courage and Resilience

Courage and Resilience

Courage gives you power,
it makes your held high like a tower.
Resilience means capacity to recover from difficulties, it helps you find your hidden abilities.
These things make you shine bright,
it ensures the path you choose is right.
Gaining courage is not easy as it seems,
it helps you fulfill your dreams.
Courage gives you power to stand,
you will never need a helping hand.
Courage gives you power to speak,
once you start you will never feel weak .
Courage makes you strong, even when you are proven wrong.

FUTURE SELF

FUTURE SELF
I want you to be different than yourself now,but not the same as everyone else as you see.
Tell yourself to be better, not because you want to be better than someone else.
Mould into your shape, but not in the same mould everyone uses to grow.
Aim in the direction your path follows, but not what your friends follow.
Allow yourself to have setbacks, but do not be scared of what set you back in the first place.
See the same goal that I have today, but not in the same spot that I am looking at it from now.
I want to recognise you, but not feel as if I am looking at the mirror once again.
I know you will be humble, but not crumble under the pressure that your past self has put on you.
You will thrive at your own pace as a winner of your own race, but not win to gain glory or fame.
I will see you,but not in physical or in present time.
At that time you will exceed what I have dreamed for years, but do not forget me because I am where you started and the voice of encouragement in your ears.

EVER…

Wherever the TOMORROW is It’s already a YESTERDAY Somewhere else.
Whenever the WATERS fall in Love with the SINKING ships Some of us have to drown to live. WHOEVER asks About the DEATH of STARTS We tell them about the BIRTH of ENDS.

A Writer’s Soliloquy

A Writer’s Soliloquy

Like every other supposed writer, I have been posed with the question ‘Why do you write?” I find it extremely difficult to answer this vague question. I can never seem to fathom my thoughts. Well, I can always try. Writing has this particular quality that attracts me to it. Writing in human form is a person who is immeasurably charismatic and has something magnetic about it while at the same time, is enigmatic. The mere art of writing fills me with this indescribable zeal which makes me doubt the existence of this universe. When I write, I feel this extreme rush of energy and vigour gushing through my veins. I love the way my heart takes a leap when I finish writing a rigorous poem, when I have penned down all my thoughts on paper. No matter how illegible, how messy it might be, it’s my mess- I made it. This sense of personal belonging is what I strive for. This is what makes writing a powerful and possibly the reason why people love poetry. Often amount of times I have been told that all writers and poets are broken inside. It is this brokenness of ours which sets us apart from venerability other races surviving on this Earth. This brokenness is like a persistent sound which will keep resonating even after the traumatic experience is over. But isn’t this what happens to everything around us? Whatever we write stays in this world forever; now be it in the innocent hearts of children or in the wisdom of the departed. Amidst all this beautiful chaos, we forget to appreciate the fact that every word we write on a piece of paper, we are leaving a legacy behind which will stand the test of inevitable oblivion; even if we turn oblivious ourselves. But the real question is – Will we forget how broken we are? It doesn’t really matter. As Ernest Hemingway once said-‘We are all broken. That’s how the light gets in.’

WISHES

WISHES
I encapsulated my hubris.
I perished my thoughts,
I perjured myself.

An enticing body I enthroned,
I fabled my paradigm.
I radiated pessimism,
I perjured myself.

An ensnaring mind I enthroned,
I conquered ruffian.
I envisaged rapacity,
I perjured myself.

LITTLE THINGS

LITTLE THINGS
Someone once told me to always live for little things in life. Live for 5 am sunrises and 5 pm sunsets. Where you’ll see the colours of sky that usually don’t belong. Live for road trips and bike rides with music in your ears and wind in your hair. Live for days when you are surrounded by your favourite people who make you realize that the world is not a cold, harsh place. Live for the little things because they’ll make you realize that this is what life is about, this is what is means to be alive.

SUN SUN WHERE ARE YOU?

Riddhi Joshi

SUN SUN WHERE ARE YOU?

Sun, sun where are you?
Have you gone to Mercury to swallow it as a whole?
Sun, sun where are you?
Have you gone to Venus, to make it more hotter?
Sun, sun where are you?
Have you gone to Mars, to melt its polar ice?
Sun, sun where are you?
Have you gone to Jupiter, to look at the big red spot?
Sun, sun whre are you?
Have you gone to Saturn, to admire its beautiful rings?
Sun, sun where are you?
Have you gone to Uranus, to see how blue it is?
Sun, sun where are you?
Have you gone to Neptune to give it some warmth?
Oh! wherever you are, you naughty sun,
Do come back to earth!
