MY COUNTRY – INDIA

MY COUNTRY – INDIA

The massive Himalayas at the top,
The huge coasts at the bottom,
We got independence,
yet not forgotten.
29 States, with delightful fate,
Qutub Minar and the Pink City,
Including the India Gate.
Never attacked but got attacked,
Isn’t it a bad fact?
But no worries,
We have the gorgeous glories.
Including the Hanging Garden of Hyderabad,
and what about Punjab?
The land of festivals,
with many diversities,
Have you ever heard about the Bombay city?
How lovely is the Arabian Sea!
Go there with glee…..
The peninsula in the south Bay of Bengal as the river’s mouth.
The great Ganga and Brahmaputra’s delta,
And the Durga Pooja of the Calcutta.
Travel around India in a train,
or may be an aeroplane,
Switch off your mobiles,
and don’t play game.
Cause INDIA is a dream place,
With different and beautiful face.

Ordo ab Chao

Nidhi S. K.

||Ordo ab Chao|| We all tend to distinguish order from chaos don’t we? “Ordo ab chao”, is a masonic belief , meaning order from chaos. And oh, for all those who got bored by hearing about Freemasonry,” Avengers” is based on this very (and many more) masonic sayings. We love making order from the chaos we create. We first make things complicated and then we complain about how there’s so much imbalance in our lives. Crazy ideas! Should we follow the saying? The answer is yes. And no. Firstly why create chaos? And if we do.. then let’s please not depend on other people to bring order ( otherwise, Thanos will wipe half of us in a snap!;) What we need to do is :1. Stop creating chaos and 2. Bring order only for ourselves! Not take or give any help to bring order since we’ll end up creating more chaos. Until then… ||Laus deo||

SCIENCE CHANGES THE GLOBE

Disha S Gaikwad

SCIENCE CHANGES THE GLOBE
When we were little,
Everything was magic As we grew up, Everything sought to
have logic.

We visualized the science Behind the real, and about biology as we were adolescents.
Today we feel every drop of science
And our minds were led to conscience.

As we discovered the globe and explored the world full of turmoil. Our minds would see things around,
The evil customs were drowned.
There were inventions, More and more creations
And the world seemed reasonable
As the important fact was science

Life

Knowledge and happiness,
Regret and sadness
Never does it leave,
Never does it stay

Never does it stop,
Never reverses back
Do all you can,
Make up your best plan

Destiny awaits you,
Fulfil it truly
What it shall be,
For you to be!

Freedom is the spice of life

Shruti P.

Freedom is the spice of life

This month India celebrates its 73rd Independence Day. A big day for the nation because freedom is what has brought us all the prosperity, position and recognition as a power in the making. While we rejoice and celebrate our independence as a nation, I would want to draw attention to individual freedom. Adolescents value freedom much more than people of other ages. They want to assert their individuality and it is them to whom I direct my question, “What is freedom?” “Is freedom anything else than the right to live as we wish? Nothing else.” said Epictetus and perhaps most would agree with him but to me this is not freedom. I feel freedom is neither a pursuit for happiness without restriction, nor is it a license to do what one wishes. Freedom goes hand in hand with great responsibility and discipline of the self. It does not mean to do as you please but to do what is right and not be cowed down by the forces around, be it society, family or friends. To me it means to break every shackle that one feels is holding him/her back from achieving his/her goals. To be free means to be able to discipline ones mind, embrace responsibility, and be righteous. To be free means to be ready to take decisions on your own and being responsible for them and not to blame others if they go wrong. To be free means to think of your actions before taking the leap and check if it is driven by selfishness or self-respect and self-reliance. Mahatma Gandhi had said, “Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.” I totally agree with him but it should also include learning from those mistakes and to become better than what one already is. Freedom also means to be free from selfish desires and a wish to pull others down. Such a behaviour would only make one small. Freedom is a tool one should use to explore, experience, and evolve to be more human and to help another fellow being rise in life. To be free means to achieve such greatness that you help the fellow human beings to free themselves from their bondage and become the reason for their liberty. To me true freedom is what Nelson Mandela said, “For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.”

Why there’s only seven

Vinayaka Lalchandani
10 – B

Why there’s only seven, When we were given number eight? Wonders exist in several numbers, And making an eighth one would be great!
Let’s think what would fit, As the perfect eighth wonder,
Fresh daisies or roses, Or the red leaves fallen under.
The gorgeous and the glossy sun, Or the huge blanket of green, Maybe the beauty of the woods so brown, Or even the pretty blue sky left so unseen. Why are the seven wonders only rocky monuments?
When rocks themselves are so nice,
Why only human made structures are praised? Maybe because the nature hasn’t risen it’s voice…

Why isn’t it so easy??

Disha S. Gaikwad

Why isn’t it so easy??

Its such along way to go crossing mountains one after the other and the deep valleys,
going beyond it to explore the beauty of success
Oh god!! so nice it would be the deep valleys,
lofty mountains vanish forever into the open sky leaving back just clear visible paths and feelings of strong hope
Why won’t it be so easy?
Why would we need a rope to walk down valleys and a hiking kit to make it easier a bit?
Why is it so, God!??

Never stop???..!

Angel Keswani
9 – E

Never stop???..!

As a tree you should be
Stay strong and with bees
No tsunami and no freeze could tease
Be bold like a lady
Be calm like leaves Don’t take it on heart and make it beat fast Let your focus be on passion
And never let it drop You will be hard as rock
And be at the top Rather than chasing the fog
Chase the bows
And sparkle with raindrops??!

Angel Keswani

Are you?

Are you one of those who still cry for a silly guy?
Are you one of those who still remember those fake friends?
Are you one of those who still cry at night?
Are you? No right?
Grow up my lady
And show them the actual world
With you in the blazers Trying to get the promotions
Not stopped by any And you are proud of many!
