SCHOOL
\nWaking up early, leaving for school,
\nMade myself a hairstyle to look a bit cool,
\nGo there and study the whole time,
\nBut not in break and that’s just fine!
\nWriting tests, submitting notes,
\nStanding for captaincy and it’s coats,
\nToday a competition, tomorrow a test,
\nThen a match, and no time to rest!
\nCompleting homework, forgot a bit,
\nFinding an excuse for not submitting it,
\nTeacher is absent, substitution announced,
\nPT lecture requested, then the football bounced!
\nLiving these memories like they’d last,
\nBut school years go by so fast,
\nThat we never realise that it’s almost farewell,
\nAnd now board exams as well!
\nThough no one wishes to leave,
\nBut our teachers do believe,
\nThat we will move on and grow,
